The whole truth about hot air sterilizer calibration
-
Dear readers,
In this text you will find the whole truth about calibrating a hot air sterilizer.
Need to calibrate sterilizers or not to calibrate? The law does not oblige hot air sterilizers to be calibrated. According to the laws in force in the Republic of Lithuania, only those sterilizers with a volume greater than 1 cubic meter need to be calibrated (law for dentists). You can't wrap your hands around a sterilizer this size. This is a very large machine. Therefore, hot air sterilizers purchased for beauty salons may not be calibrated.
In the beauty salons law "HEALTH SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR BEAUTY SERVICES" there is not a word said about the calibration of the sterilizer. That is, it is neither mandatory nor recommended. The only case where the sterilizer needs to be calibrated is when the internal envelope indicators do not change their color after the complete sterilization procedure.
That is, if the internal indicators changed their color during sterilization before and suddenly started to stop changing color, then this is a sign that the heat sensors are out of tune and it is time to calibrate them. Before submitting the sterilizer for calibration, repeat the sterilization process again and make sure that:
- the tools in the envelope are really dry and the internal indicator is not wet.
- the envelopes in the sterilizer are not placed on top of each other, the envelopes are not very pressed together. If after repeated sterilization you see that the internal indicator has not changed color again, then this is definitely a sign that the sterilizer needs to be calibrated.
Please note that calibration is carried out only by specialized metrology companies and after the calibration procedure they issue relevant documents as proof of calibration. If you have additional questions, write to us, we will answer all your questions: info@salonams.eu .
